✨ From Oahu, Hawai’i to Texas – A Creative Evolution

Made by Blanker began on the island of Oahu, Hawai‘i, where I discovered the art of repurposing surfboards into art and meaningful memorabilia. What started with giving retired boards a new life evolved into a passion for transforming unexpected materials, personal objects, and memories into pieces meant to be seen, used, and remembered.

As my creativity grew, so did the studio. I began exploring resin and new techniques, eventually expanding beyond surfboards into handcrafted statement pieces, functional art, preserved keepsakes, and one-of-a-kind creations.

Today, Made by Blanker calls Texas home. The move marked a new chapter for the studio, but the heart behind the work remains the same: taking something meaningful and transforming it into something unforgettable.

A New Chapter

And now, another transformation is on the horizon—this time, my own.

After years of balancing Made by Blanker with my day job, I’m preparing to retire and finally give the studio the time and creative energy I’ve always dreamed of giving it. I’m stepping into a slower, fuller, and probably much furrier chapter of life: more hands-on dog mom, future chicken mom, and full-time artist.

For the first time, Made by Blanker won’t have to fit around the rest of my life. It gets to become a bigger part of it.
